Jolene Dixon

hippie hillbilly & folk rock/americana

Born in Topanga Canyon, Jolene's family left 9 months later to follow friends and colleagues from the Laurel Canyon scene, like Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris - who wanted to start their family lives in quieter pastures of Franklin, Tennessee.

Raised under a console, she soaked in those influences of Lee Ann Womack, Roseanne Cash, Lari White and started writing at 13. Over twenty years later, after trying to be normal for as long as she could, in her late 30's decided it's never too late to give yourself permission to Bloom.

"Bloom" is her latest single and an autobiographical tale co-written with Melody Walker ("American Dreaming", Sierra Ferrell) of how the process of finding yourself is an ongoing and never ending, beautiful voyage. And not, as she was raised to believe, a sin to find happiness and fulfillment here on Earth.

With more music to come from producer Dan Knobler (Lake Street Dive, Allison Russell), Jolene Dixon is a new artist on the scene, with nearly four decades of performing and songwriting, now officially here to spread the gospel -------- we always have room to bloom and grow to change first for ourselves and then the world.
