Sometimes, a certain love is only meant to be kept in a time capsule.

Borrowed Time is about saying goodbye to a love that you knew always had an expiration date. It's a celebration of the magical moments you shared that will be treasured forever, long after you have moved on to the next chapter. It's about simultaneously knowing what is best for you AND holding gratitude for ever even knowing this kind of love existed.

In the middle of this pandemic, all of the Seniors of 2020 are missing out on all these final moments with their closest friends going to grad parties or taking your girlfriend to prom or sharing those final days on their college campus. Getting to cry with your best friend because she's going to a different college than you. Or spending one final night with the love of your life because you have chosen different career paths after college in different cities.

So this song is a dedication to all these Seniors of 2020 :) The ties you bind during these years only build up who you will be in the next iteration of your personal development. These relationships may have been on Borrowed Time, but they will always live in your heart and shape who we become.
